Position
David Phelps serves as co-lead of the real estate practice. He advises international and domestic clients, including institutional real estate companies, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, capital providers, private equity investors, owners and operators, and developers. He counsels them on venture formation, equity financing, construction and permanent financing, acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, operation, management, repositioning and workouts and restructuring of various real estate projects.
David also leads the hospitality practice, bringing 30 years of experience counseling institutional real estate companies, family offices and sovereign wealth funds in the acquisition, disposition, financing, development and operation of hotel properties and companies throughout the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
David also represents institutional investors in the health care field, having represented clients buying and selling medical office buildings, hospitals, acute care centers, assisted living and other health care facilities and health care REITS.
