Career

​Igor Lima is a partner in BMA’s Corporate and M&A and Restructuring and Insolvency practice areas. He has broad experience in corporate reorganizations, national and international M&A transactions, and business restructurings and insolvencies.

Igor advises national and multinational companies, both private and state-owned, in domestic and international M&A transactions. He also advises creditors and debtors in restructuring and insolvency proceedings, and investors interested in acquiring distressed assets. Igor has been involved in some of the largest and most complex mergers and acquisitions and restructuring proceedings in Brazil, acting for clients in various sectors, such as retail, construction, infrastructure, and aviation.

He worked as an international M&A associate with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York from 2018 to 2019.
