Position
Associate.
Laura assists clients in developing their business when it comes to transactions or projects involving investment funds, joint ventures and corporate acquisitions and disposals.
Laura regularly works with institutional investors, real estate investment trusts and intermediaries to advise on a variety of corporate and funds matters, including joint ventures set up as a corporate (limited companies/ various forms of partnerships), contractual or trust arrangements; the acquisition or disposal of corporate entities (including special purpose vehicles holding property assets) either by way of an asset or share sale/purchase or advising investors on their investment in various funds based in Cayman or the UK.
Laura qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2016 and her recent experience includes:
Joint Ventures
Lead corporate advisor on a £90m complex limited liability partnership arrangement between a council and registered social housing provider (RP) for a regeneration project in London.
Career
Laura studied a degree in Law and Business Management at Keele University (2008-2011) before undertaking the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law (2012-2014). Following completion of the LPC, Laura trained at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors (2014-2016) to obtain her qualification as a solicitor. Upon qualification Laura joined Anthony Collins Solicitors (2016-2018) to practice banking, corporate and commercial law. Following her desire to gain experience of the funds world, Laura joined Gowling WLG (2018-2021) to develop her skill set which has lead to a move offshore and joining the practice at Collas Crill in the Corporate Finance and Funds team.
