Claudia is a highly experienced commercial and technology lawyer. She began her career in private practice with international City law firms Simmons & Simmons and Bird & Bird, and has worked in-house and as a legal consultant for over ten years.
She specialises in e-commerce and has supported the growth of several start-up and scale-up businesses. She joined notonthehighstreet, a leading curated e-commerce marketplace, as its first and sole legal counsel and worked closely with its founders from the company’s inception, managing risk whilst enabling their ambitious growth. She has since worked with a number of media clients, as well as high-growth, high-tech online platforms, including purpose-led organisations and B-Corps, such as Lily’s Kitchen, Mindful Chef and thelittleloop.
Claudia’s expertise includes commercial contracts (including tech and data-focussed agreements), consumer law (website terms, privacy policies, advising on consumer regulatory matters, and marketing and advertising compliance), IP rights and licensing and data protection.
She is solutions-focussed, providing balanced, proportionate commercial advice whilst ensuring good governance.
