Martyn is a qualified solicitor with experience in both Corporate and Regulatory matters.

As a member of the Corporate Team, Martyn deals regularly with all aspects of the sale and purchase of businesses, particularly IFA practices. He provides advice to firms requiring corporate restructuring in a friendly yet confident manner.

For a number of years, Martyn has headed a multi-jurisdictional litigation claim against Harlequin Resorts Limited, a £400 million failed overseas property investment fund in the Caribbean. He has also assisted hundreds of clients to claim redress via the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and the Financial Ombudsman Service resulting from negligent advice being given to invest via SIPPS.

Martyn’s keen interests and experience in financial services has led to him to taking a key role in enforcing Financial Ombudsman decisions through the courts, undertaking insolvency proceedings where necessary to protect the best interests of his clients.
