Divi Dutta is a Partner with the Firm’s General Corporate practice.
Divi specialises in the General Corporate and Mergers and Acquisitions practice area as well as Trusts, Wills, Estates and Private Wealth Management advisory. She has extensive experience in matters pertaining to assisting foreign companies in setting up operations in India, advising and assisting in secretarial compliances required to be undertaken by corporates on a continuous retainership basis, providing corporate advisory services, acquisitions by companies, registration with regulatory authorities in India, including working closely with regulators like the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)and the Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Previously, she has worked with M/s. Crawford Bayley & Co., Advocates & Solicitors.
Divi represents strategic corporate clients (both in India and overseas) on a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions. Some of her leading recent Private Wealth/ Corporate/ M&A transactions include advising the O.P Jindal Group in relation to its internal reorganization through a family settlement; setting up of trusts and drafting of wills for the generation succession of various high net worth individuals; assisting in the acquisition of the business of Tecsys Solutions Private Limited by the Endurance International Group, Inc.; assisting in the India restructuring of the United Technologies Group; advising the Accenture Group in relation to setting up of a branch office for their foreign subsidiary in India; advising on the sale by Dodsal Group of their Pizza Hut franchise to Sapphire Foods India Private Limited.
