I have a varied practice that includes:

• working closely with our planning and commercial teams exploring the ever expanding natural capital landscape, for example creation and implementation of nitrogen mitigation schemes etc.
• rural and agricultural property work – including farm and land sales and purchases; advising on a diversified agricultural or estate holding including land sales, overage, land promotion agreements and setting up and running commercial let units;
• advising on farm business tenancies for both landlord and tenants;
• advising farmers and landowners on entering into renewable energy infrastructure agreements such as solar park leases, wind farms, green energy installations and deeds of easement for new cabling including internet roll out and all existing and new energy infrastructure. In addition advising on rights of way including public rights of way, open access land and commons land;
• commercial property leasehold and freehold sales and purchases, transfers as a going concern, landlord and tenant advice to both landlords and tenants on the form of the lease and it’s structure, negotiating the same and due diligence on the property as appropriate;
• financing and re-mortgaging for property owners and farmers; and
• leases and sales and purchases of equestrian commercial businesses both as a going concern or property alone transaction including racing and competition yards.

My role is to ensure that your property transactions are dealt with as swiftly and efficiently as possible with as little stress and disturbance to your business and farming enterprises. I look to build long term relationships across the generations to help you build your business and leave your farm and business to your children and grandchildren in a better state than you started out with. This will include working holistically with your accountants and other professional advisers to ensure any property transaction is structured in the best way for you and your enterprises.
