Position

I am a Senior Associate in the Wills, Trusts & Estates and Succession Planning team, based in Paris Smith’s Winchester office. I specialise in:

• Wills, including reviewing existing Wills and preparation of first or new Wills, for individuals and couples;
• Estate and succession planning, including advice on inheritance tax and capital gains tax and strategies to protect and provide for the next generation;
• Powers of Attorney, including preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney, and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney;
• Estate administration;
• Variations of Estates; and
• Trusts, including their set-up, administration, and wind-up, as well as their capital taxation.

I have a particular interest in advising farming clients, landowners and their families in planning and structuring their estates, drafting their Wills, and advising on succession planning, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax mitigation, with the aim of a smooth handover to the next generation.

I listen to my clients’ needs and enjoy using my experience and knowledge to help them achieve their wishes, or to advise them as to their options. I aim to provide clear and precise advice, tailored to the requirements of my clients.

I trained at a firm in Hertfordshire and since qualifying have worked at firms in the Hampshire and Thames Valley areas.

I am a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE).
