Career
Sophie joined Murray Beith Murray in 2011 after qualifying as a solicitor in 2009. She specialises in private client work and advises on a broad range of matters including in tax and estate planning for individuals, families and trusts.
Sophie also has experience in advising high net worth individuals in complex legal matters with cross border interests. Most recently, Sophie has assisted a number of our clients who have been passing significant, valuable and varied assets to younger generations. That work requires in-depth knowledge of succession, property and tax law together with the co-ordination of other advisors assisting with the project.
Sophie is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and received the award for the Taxation of Trusts (Scotland) exam in November 2014.
