Career
Florian Malescha advises numerous German and international clients in all patent and design law matters. His expertise ranges from employee invention law and the identification of protectable subject-matter to examination proceedings before the German and international patent offices and the strategic development and sustainable maintenance of complex patent portfolios. He defends and enforces intellectual property rights in patent litigation proceedings, nullity and opposition proceedings and prepares freedom-to-operate analyses.
His focus is on client consulting and support as well as the development and maintenance of competitive patent portfolios in all areas of classical mechanical engineering, automotive technology, process technology, aerospace technology, production technology, in particular generative manufacturing technology, robotics and AI as well as energy technology.
From 2014 to 2022, he worked at Boehmert & Boehmert, and was a partner since 2021.
Florian Malescha is one of the five founding partners of SKM-IP.

Education
Florian Malescha studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) with a focus on automotive engineering and product development. In addition to his training as a patent attorney, he has gained extensive practical experience in several research and development departments of leading companies in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries in Germany and Singapore, where he studied at Nanyang Technological University.
