Career

Andrew has been extensively involved in advising and representing clients on commercial transactions and corporate matters, in addition to providing legal analysis from an Egyptian law perspective. While working under the civil law system, Andrew has a deep knowledge of International and European Law, assisting clients in relation to cross-border transactions.

Andrew has a diverse practice that includes representing a diverse portfolio of corporations on complex corporate disputes before the Egyptian courts as well advising the same on transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other complex business matters. He also has experience in advising and representing clients and start-ups on energy-related projects as well as the renewable energy sector and infrastructure projects.

He has successfully advised and represented major multinational companies in a broad range of industries with a focus on the automotive industry in a considerable number of post-mergers filings before the Egyptian Competition Authority as well as representing many leading aircraft lessors and financiers in the aviation industry on all aspects of aircraft leasing including sale and leaseback transactions, and disposals and cross border leasing transactions.

Andrew is currently conducting his PhD studies; in addition he has recently served as a member of the Ministry of Justice Committee task force in the Digitization of Judicial proceedings. Andrew currently sits in Egypt’s Dispute Resolution Sub-Group for the Aviation Working Group (AWG) advising on the alignment of domestic procedural law with the requirements in relation to the Cape Town Convention (CTC) and the Aircraft Protocol (AP) and is a member of the Association of Young International Criminal Lawyers.
