As the Founding Partner and Managing Partner of Afifi Law Firm, Mr. Afifi holds under his belt more than forty years of experience of working in the legal field in Egypt, during these long years of experience he advised and represented a large number of the most prestigious international and multinational companies that work in a large scale of industries, including but not limited to aviation, pharmaceutical, construction, banking, oil and gas, tourism, and FMCG, in various legal matters.

Mr. Amal is ranked as a top-tier lawyer and has been recognized for his legal excellence. He leads the litigation and dispute resolution practice at Afifi Law Firm in association with Dentons, with an extensive experience in this field gained from representing our clients through litigating and arbitrating more than 10,000 court cases and arbitrations as well as cross-border disputes before different levels and types of Egyptian courts and arbitration panels, with an incredible well recognized rate of success.

Mr. Afifi’s experience extends to representing major multinational corporations and Fortune 500 companies in a broad range of merger and acquisition transactions, joint ventures, corporate governance, and other complex cross-border transactions. Mr. Afifi has a stellar record in representing major international and domestic airlines and industry participants on a broad range of commercial transactions of the aviation and airline business in Egypt.

Mr. Afifi advises and represents national and international clients in all matters regarding intellectual property and technology law, including licensing, trademarks, patents, and copyrights. Mr. Afifi is a member of the International Bar Association since 1996. He is currently a board member of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Protection Committee since 1994 and sits in Egypt’s Dispute Resolution Sub-Group for the Aviation Working Group (AWG) advising on the alignment of domestic procedural law with the requirements in relation to the Cape Town Convention (CTC) and the Aircraft Protocol (AP).

Mr. Afifi has a considerable contribution to non-profit organizations through advising and representing institutions such as UNHCR and Care.
