Mariliza Baka is a Greek-qualified Attorney at law, specialized in Data Protection, Privacy, and Cybersecurity. She holds a Master’s degree in Law & Technology from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. Mariliza is providing DPO services and has substantial legal working experience in assisting international clients to develop global regulatory privacy compliance programs, from drafting/reviewing data protection policies, preparing and handling data mapping projects, drafting agreements and privacy notices, and ensures that the client has followed all compliance steps to adhere to Transparency & Lawfulness principles.

Additionally, Mariliza consults clients for all global privacy and data protection implications with regard to marketing practices and on the adoption of international data transfer mechanisms and solutions with global data transfer mechanisms.

During her time abroad, she worked for privacy NGOs, the Council of the EU, and in the data protection and cybersecurity practice of a top-tier US international law firm in Brussels and has extensive experience in global privacy and data protection projects, risk assessment and the handling of data breach incidents.
