Career
Kebby Wishimanga is a Partner of the law firm and manages the Copperbelt office of the Law Firm. In his role, Kebby heads up the litigation portfolio of the firm and handles complex disputes and transactions. Kebby’s court room experience encompasses matters in mining, commercial, transport, energy, banking and finance, employment, immigration, and property disputes. Some of his most notable cases have been chronicled in the Zambia Law Reports, the leading publication on Zambian Case Law.
His first-hand experience in disputes places him at an advantage to advise clients on how best to avoid disputes and/or manage risk. This has seen him advise both local and international clients on multifaceted commercial transactions including advice on regulatory frameworks of the mining and energy industries, acquisition of mining rights, regulations in and around the transport and logistics industry, negotiation of joint ventures in the mining industry, negotiation around electricity bulk supply agreements and establishing a crude oil pipeline from Mozambique to Zambia.
His presence on the Copperbelt has seen Kebby advise players in the transport and logistics industry, mining and the electricity sectors.
Kebby is an advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia, and a Notary Public. He received his LLB qualification from the University of Zambia, attended trial advocacy training in South Africa and is an adjunct researcher of the Guangdong University of China. Additionally, Kebby is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACI. Arb).
