Career

Cameron Cantrell is an Associate at Hintze Law PLLC. Cameron represents companies on privacy issues, drawing from her experience in data security breach law, COPPA, CCPA, consumer privacy at the FTC and state levels, surveillance technologies, and biometric technologies.

Before joining Hintze Law as an Associate, she spent time at the firm as a Summer Associate, gaining broad experience working on privacy and security policies, data protection provisions in terms of use, GDPR matters, and EU member state privacy matters. Cameron also worked at Susman Godfrey as a Summer Associate supporting contract litigation and at the ACLU of Washington as a Policy Intern researching privacy and surveillance legislation.

As a law student at the University of Washington School of Law, Cameron was a researcher in the Tech Policy Lab and served as Co-President of the Cyberlaw Association of Washington, Community Relations Chair for the Public Interest Law Association, and Articles Editor for the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts. During law school, Cameron led police technology research at the School of Law’s Technology Law and Public Policy Clinic, conducting extensive research on the function of technologies law enforcement use, the scale these technologies are used on, and the nature and effect of applicable laws and regulations. Cameron has also published a note with the Virginia Journal of Law & Technology detailing a Fourth Amendment framework for mobile phone searches by police.
