Career

Prior to setting up Altum Law Corporation in 2014, Pih Peng was a corporate partner at some of the most well-established law firms in Singapore, including Lee & Lee (from 2005 to 2014), Harry Elias Partnership (from 1999 to 2005) and Drew and Napier (from 1991 to 1998).

Pih Peng’s corporate advisory and transactional practice covers capital markets, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), regulatory compliance, private equity and private client matters, as well as finance and FinTech.

Her experience in cross-border transactions includes advising on local and overseas initial public offerings, dual and secondary listings, as well as private and public M&A both locally and overseas.

Pih Peng is well-versed in regulatory compliance and governance matters, being Company Secretary of several listed companies in Singapore, both Mainboard and Catalist Board, and Hong Kong, and has worked closely with many sponsors, including the top leading sponsors of Catalist-listed companies in Singapore.

She is active in advising on shareholders’ requisitions, both for requisitioning shareholders and requisitioned companies, and advising companies who are subject to a notice of compliance or show cause letter.

Pih Peng regularly advises fund managers and private clients on the structuring and setting up of funds and family offices, and the setting up of variable capital companies in Singapore. She also advises start-ups, funds and investments that focus on FinTech.

Pih Peng currently serves as Company Secretary of several listed companies in Singapore and Hong Kong, including SGX Mainboard-listed company, Cosmosteel Holdings Limited and SGX Catalist-listed companies, Amplefield Limited, Capital World Limited, Quantum Healthcare Limited and HKSE Mainboard-listed company, Courage Investment Group Limited.

Education

Pih Peng was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1991 and is a solicitor of England and Wales and an attorney-at-law of New York. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Singapore and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Hull.
