Career

Kate is an Attorney at Broadhurst with over 12 years’ broad experience as a litigator in civil and commercial disputes and as a drafter of primary and secondary legislation.

Kate was called as a Barrister and Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia in 2011 and admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands in 2024.

Prior to joining Broadhurst, Kate worked for the Portfolio of Legal Affairs in the Cayman Islands government, drafting legislation in a variety of areas including financial services, anti-money laundering, environment, and government administration. Kate also worked for the Office of Parliamentary Counsel in Victoria, Australia, drafting complex legislation.

In Australia, Kate worked for a leading international law firm, practising primarily in employment law and commercial litigation. During that time, Kate advised on all aspects of the employment relationship, drafted contracts and represented individuals, as well as corporate and public sector clients, in disputes.
