Career

Mohammed is a co-founding partner at K&Co. and a well established expert in the field of banking and facilities, including Islamic finance and specialised projects. He graduated top of his year at Sultan Qaboos University specialising in Commercial Law and holds a Master’s in International Commercial Law from Queen Mary University of London.

Mohammed initiated his career at one of the largest law firms of the Sultanate of Oman as part of the Special Projects department ahead of incorporating K&Co. As head of the corporate and legal advisory team, he overseas drafting and review of contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and provides legal advisory to government, private and international clients. One of his career highlights included advising the government of Oman on the country’s largest debt capital markets issue valued at USD 5 billion in three tranches. Mohammed is notably experienced in operating within the different authorities in the Sultanate including, Capital Market Authority, Muscat Stock Exchange, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and Muscat Clearing and Depository to name a few.

In addition to his legal practice, Mohammed also lectures commercial and maritime law at some of the leading academic institutes in Oman, including Sultan Qaboos University, and has lead a number of training and development courses for various clients in the public and private sector.
