Matthijs van der Laarse is an experienced attorney-at-law in the Restructuring and Insolvency department of DVAN Advocaten. Matthijs advices national and international business on insolvency aspects, financing, refinancing and restructuring. Matthijs is known for his thoroughness and hands-on approach.

Matthijs started his career at Schipper Noordam Advocaten in 2005.  He joined Hoboken Advocaten in 2012. He joined DVAN Advocaten as partner in 2017.  Matthijs previously worked at the Nederlandse Mededingingsautoriteit (Dutch Competition Authority, NMa).

Matthijs graduated from Faculty of Economics of the Erasmus Universiteit in Rotterdam in 2002 and from the Faculty of Law of the Erasmus Universiteit in 2004. He studied at the University of Aix Marseille, France, in 2001. Matthijs concluded the postgraduate courses of  Grotius in 2011 . Vincent concluded the specialization course WHOA Restructuring Expert of Leiden Universiteit in 2024.
