Position

Dr Gallego is the Managing Partner at Gallego Abogados and responsible for the areas Banking Law, Law of International Contract, Infrastructure and Energy Regulations.

Also Dr Gallego is the firm´s consultant for all its practice areas.

Career

He founded Gallego Abogados 25 years ago, and since then, has been the firm’s managing partner. He has participated in several cross-border transactions such as management-buy-out contracts, share purchase agreements, etc.

Dr. Gallego has been a Professor among others for Commercial Law, Private Economic Law, Capital Market Law, and International Contract Law at the National University of Colombia, from 1996 to 2013. Also, he was the director of the Private Law Department for Ph.D. candidates at National University of Colombia, recognized as the most important University for its scientific work in Colombia.

Mr. Gallego has published numerous scientific legal articles in the field of Private Business Law.

Education

Dr. Gallego holds a Law degree from the University Externado of Colombia, LL.M. in private law, and a Ph.D. in Banking Law from the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität from Mainz, Germany.
