Career

Nour M. Souaiby joined Obeid and Medawar Law Firm (O&M) in 2022. She is a member of the Beirut Bar Association (Syndicate of Lawyers).

Nour graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Saint Joseph University – Beirut in 2017 with an LL.B. in Private Law and then obtained a Master’s degree (DEA) in Private and Business Law from the same academic institution in 2019.

Prior to joining O&M, Nour worked at Roula Abdallah Law Firm as a Junior Associate after completing a 12 months internship. She acquired experience in civil and criminal litigation proceedings before the corresponding Lebanese courts, and her work mainly involved drafting pleadings and conducting legal research related to commercial, maritime, and civil law.

During her academic years, Nour was a member of the legal clinic operated by Saint Joseph University “Dispensaire Juridique” which provided pro bono legal consultation for people in need. She also completed an internship at the Lebanese Council of State in 2016 where she attended to deliberations concerning administrative cases before the various Chambers of the Council.

In O&M, Nour’s area of practice is focused on commercial law and corporate matters within both the UAE and Lebanon. She is involved in the incorporation process of companies in the UAE and notably the Abu Dhabi Global Market, and drafts and reviews various types of international agreements.
