Career

Alaqshendra Singh is a Senior Associate at TMT Law Practice. After graduating from the Army Institute of Law in 2019, he worked at EY GDS for a little over a year handling direct/indirect procurement contracts for a globally renowned financial institution and then subsequently joined the Commercial IP team at Saikrishna and Associates while doing a part time secondment parallely with a leading audio entertainment platform during his tenure at the firm, where he looked after their entire operations in India. After two years at Saikrishna and Associates, Alaqshendra worked with ANM Global, where he was on a full-time secondment with a leading regional music label as their Head of Legal.

His core areas of focus has been drafting and negotiating an array of commercial contracts and providing advisory on Media and Entertainment laws inter alia IP laws, technology laws, gaming laws as well as reviewing of content ranging from scripts to network cuts from an S&P as well as a legal perspective whilst keeping the cultural and political sensitivities in focus given the various regulatory requirements a content publisher has to abide by.

Alaqshendra has routinely advised some of the biggest names in the digital media industry on their day to day to legal queries pertaining to their transactions, content, advising on varieties of claims and disputes, and everything under the sun, as the of-counsel for these clients.

During his free time, Alaqshendra enjoys cooking meals for his friends and family as well as playing the guitar with his peers and band in Delhi.
