Career
Can Oğuzer, with an experience of almost 37 years, had acted as the lead-counsel of major top-tier law firms in Turkey and provided legal consultancy and litigation services to both domestic and international clients before the establishment of Abcoo. Having been involved in numerous large-scale and high-profile transactions across a wide range of industry sectors, he had structured countless M&A deals, joint ventures, investment projects; played an active role in resolution of shareholder disputes; and represented his clients in significant dispute resolution procedures. He has also drawn road maps to his clients in pre-litigation advisory works, management of dispute processes, and peaceful settlement of the same; and conducted numerous processes that have been finalized successfully. Can Oğuzer’s knowledge and experience in corporate and commercial law, along with his skills in the dispute resolution area, provide trustful and long-term relationships with the clients.
Mr. Oğuzer has represented companies, minority shareholders, and privileged shareholders, as the case may be, in disputes between companies and shareholders. His clients include BSH Hausgerate, Evyap, H&M, and Peak.
Mr. Oğuzer has recently represented the Founder/CEO of Peak, who was a Group A shareholder, in the dispute between him and the then-current shareholders. Such process has been concluded with the acquisition of Peak’s shares by Zynga Inc., which made Peak the first “unicorn” of Turkey.
