Mr. Pasztory is admitted to practice in New York and the United Stated District Court, Southern District of New York, and registered as a foreign legal adviser with the Budapest Bar Association. He was affiliated with Seward & Kissel, LL.P. for 36 years, as associate (1962-69), partner (1969-1998), and was a member of the firm’s Management Committee from 1985 to 1990. He opened and headed the Budapest office of the firm from 1992 to 1998. In 1998, he became the partner in charge of the Budapest office of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LL.P., and remained a partner of that firm until 2005. From 2005 to 2014, he was counsel and foreign legal adviser to the Hungarian firm of Sándor Szegedi Szent-Ivány Komáromi Eversheds Law Office in Budapest.

Blaise G.A. Pasztory has been practicing in corporate, securities and international law for more than 50 years. He devotes a substantial portion of his time to securities laws matters, as well as to pooled vehicles including investment companies and partnerships. He has worked on the formation of various mutual funds groups and assisted in the establishment of hedge funds, money market funds, index funds, offshore funds, and venture capital funds. In 2004, Mr. Pasztory was awarded the Order of Merit (middle cross) of the Hungarian Republic for his contributions to the improvement of commercial and economic ties between Hungary and the United States.
