Baba is TNP’s Managing Partner and leads the firm’s Corporate Commercial and Business Advisory Groups. He is regarded as a solution-oriented business lawyer and is responsible for the firm’s reputation in the Capital Markets and M&A space, having spear-headed a series of deals across several industries. His experience cuts across various industries including power, roads & transportation, manufacturing, financial services, information and communication technology, and e-commerce.
Between 2007 and 2011, Baba garnered some public sector experience as General Counsel to the Governor of Lagos State, Nigeria. During this period, he advised various government ministries, departments & agencies on transactions involving finance, privatization of government assets and concessions.
He is a member of the Governing Board of the Lagos State Law Reform Commission and a member of the executive council of the Nigeria Bar Association – Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL). He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the Capital Market Solicitors Association (CMSA).
