On a regular basis, Dr. Rathgeber provides advice and defense to clients during large criminal proceedings. He is also experienced in planning and structuring of internal investigations for clients from different industries, e.g. engineering, defense, wholesale and finance. Due to his outstanding expertise in the field of white-collar crime, Dr. Rathgeber has been repeatedly awarded the exclusive WirtschaftsWoche quality seal “TOP ANWALT”.
On a regular basis, Dr. Rathgeber takes on teaching assignments at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the EBS University of Business and Law in Wiesbaden.

Education
Dr. Rathgeber studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and then completed his doctorate at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich on the topic of Criminal Compliance. He also holds an MA in Public Administration from the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer.
During his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court in Koblenz Dr. Rathgeber spent tours at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer and at Clifford Chance in London and Frankfurt. Before joining Knierim & Kollegen, he worked as a research associate at the Clifford Chance Frankfurt office in the area of Litigation / White Collar and as an assistant at the EBS University of Business and Law in Wiesbaden.
