Position

Steven Hopkins is Managing Partner and alongside this Steven head’s the firm’s Planning Law Department. Steven is a specialist Planning Law solicitor, and unique in the region, having a background which has, since the early days of his training contract, straddled Planning Law, Contentious Property Law, as well as civil and criminal court proceedings. Steven combines his litigation experience with an in-depth technical legal knowledge of planning legislation and Case Law.

Career

Steven has been a Partner at Holmes & Hills since 2010 having trained with the firm and then worked at a London firm for a period, before returning to Holmes & Hills’ Planning Law Department. Currently, Steven is in tenure as the firm’s Managing Partner alongside Rebecca Mason; Steven has and is continuing to play a pivotal role in the strategic growth of Holmes & Hills Solicitors.

Alongside, Michael Harman, Steven leads the firm’s annual Planning Law Updates which have been run for over 15 years and which attract over 300 bookings from regional planning, land, and property professionals.
