Career

Mako, a Manager and Attorney-at-Law at EY Georgia, brings 12 years of multi-sector legal experience to the practice. She joined EY in 2018 and has demonstrated exemplary experience in providing customized legal services to a varied clientele. Initially, her portfolio focused on the infrastructure, oil & gas, and energy sectors. However, Mako’s recent clientele mainly includes local companies and international investors in finance and technology.

Mako has been instrumental in enhancing EY Georgia’s litigation and arbitration practice and has significant experience in handling projects that require agile and tactical decision-making.

Among her notable achievements are leading key projects such as the registration of Georgia’s first-ever umbrella investment fund, navigating company migrations in Georgia from EU jurisdictions, steering complex M&A transactions involving a commercial bank, and providing comprehensive legal support to the development and deployment of mobile applications.

Mako served as an invited lecturer at Tbilisi State University, where she taught international commercial arbitration and international sales of goods. Since 2021, she has been delivering lectures on Georgian business law to members of the Georgian Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors as part of the Continuing Education Program.

Mako holds the Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) from the Tbilisi State University.
