Career
Sam is counsel in Freshfields’ international arbitration group in New York. He focuses on international arbitration (commercial and investor-state) and litigation. He has handled arbitration proceedings in a variety of sectors, including O&G, life sciences, and financial services, under the ICSID, ICC and LCIA rules, as well as enforcement proceedings and related civil litigation. He has been recognized as a Future Leader in International Arbitration by Who’s Who Legal.
Sam graduated from Harvard Law School and is admitted to practice in New York and North Carolina, as well as before the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the US District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He speaks English and Arabic.
