Position

Tanja Ehls is a Counsel in Fieldfisher´s Frankfurt am Main office and advises on all Public Law matters.

She focuses on advising companies on Subsidy Law, Administrative Procedure Law and Administrative Procedural Law. She also advises universities, university hospitals and research institutions on higher education and Science Law.

Her typical areas of advice include: the preparation of expert opinions on individual issues relating to Subsidy Law and State Aid Law (in particular also in the area of so-called corona bridging aid), coordination with the subsidy providers/granting authorities in ongoing application proceedings and the representation of applicants in opposition and action proceedings before the administrative courts, for example in the case of rejection and recovery notices.

In addition, she has many years of experience in drafting and reviewing cooperation agreements in the field of science and academia, assisting with tenders and subcontracts and advising on cases of scientific misconduct, including clarification of the facts.

 

Career

Before joining Fieldfisher, she was a lawyer in the Hamburg office of one of the largest auditing firms in the public sector.

Education

She completed her studies in Göttingen. During her legal clerkship, she worked for the German Bundestag and the Ministry of the Interior and Sport of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, among others.
