Career

Malin’s breadth of experience includes advising clients regarding legal, strategic and business aspects of intellectual property, domain names and marketing law. Skilled in IP portfolio management, she works closely alongside her clients to identify and implement the most suitable approach for developing their domestic and international brand IP strategy. She often becomes an integral part of her client’s successful establishment and enforcement of their brand within Sweden and beyond.

Her value to clients stems from her ability to quickly explore and explain a range of responses to any outstanding IP issues. She is able to identify the root cause and effects of any such issues and her counsel and guidance sees her regularly becoming a trusted advisor organisations she works with. She is considered by many of her global clients to be an expert in rights enforcement, assisting with contract or licensing negotiations and drafting, and if necessary preparation and pursuance of legal actions through the courts.

From physical counterfeits to online infringements, Malin is often tasked with assisting her clients with complex enforcement cases spanning across both borders and markets, drawing on her comprehensive range of legal and IP expertise to identify and assess potential options. She is also experienced in the field of marketing law, able to navigate clients through the potential pitfalls of data misuse, among other areas.

Malin joined Zacco in 2008. She holds a Master of Laws and a Master of European law, both from Lund University. She is a member of various national and international associations active within the field of intellectual property.
