Danske Bank, Nordea Bank and Nykredit are notable clients of the team at Bech-Bruun. In a recent highlight, team head Troels Tuxen advised AC24 on its €6m bankruptcy proceedings. Other mandates include Carsten Ceutz assisting Tyrkiet Eksperten with a restructuring and disputes relating to its bankruptcy, which included transferring its existing customers to a separate agency; and Jørgen Hauschildt acting for Jysk Maskincenter in bankruptcy proceedings. Michael Serring is also a key name to note and is particularly skilled in insolvencies related to limited partnerships.

Gorrissen Federspiel handles restructurings and insolvencies for clients in the real estate, transport, energy, finance , construction and retail sectors. Aarhus-based John Sommer Schmidt leads the national department and advised Lion Capital on the Danish aspects of its bid for the distressed Agent Provocateur. Morten Hans Jakobsen heads up the Copenhagen team and assisted SEB and EKF with the bankruptcy of Weiss, a Danish contractor and developer of renewable energy power plants. Insolvency specialist Lars Grøngaard is also noteworthy.

Restructurings, creditor matters, cross-border issues and compulsory liquidations are key areas of focus for Horten's team. Group head Piya Mukherjee is notably strong on cross-border mandates. Other key names include Nicolai Dyhr, who assisted Nordea Bank Danmark with issues relating to its debtor PlusVikar, which declared bankruptcy; and Ulrik Holsted-Sandgreen, who handles insolvencies and restructurings.

Kromann Reumert has notable expertise in insolvencies, restructurings and estate administration matters. In a recent highlight, team head Søren Aamann Jensen advised the Danish Guarantee Fund on an investigation into a bankrupt Danish insurance agent, which sold insurance for a Liechtenstein-based insurance company, which also went bankrupt. Danske Bank, Nordea Bank and Nykredit are also clients. Other key figures include restructuring and insolvency specialist Christian Jul Madsen, and Teis Gullitz-Wormslev, who is an expert in distressed asset acquisitions.

The practice at Plesner is highly skilled in complex bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings; Lars Skanvig, who leads the practice, recently acted for a Danish manufacturing company on its multi-million euro insolvency. Other key figures include Pernille Bigaard and Michala Roepstorff, who are highly experienced in complex cross-border bankruptcies.

Kammeradvokaten / Poul Schmith handles the full spectrum of insolvency and restructuring issues for clients including The Danish Tax Agency, ATP and BRFkredit. Recent mandates include practice leader Boris Frederiksen advising Amagerbanken on its €3.5bn bankruptcy, and Jesper Saugmandsgaard Øe acting for Scanmills on its €6m bankruptcy. Other key figures from the team include Rune Tandgaard Derno, Morten Plannthin and Cathrine Wollenberg Zittan.

Accura Advokatpartnerselskab is skilled in insolvency-related transactions and litigation, and has a client roster which includes Danske Bank, Nordea Bank Danmark and Sydbank. Andreas KÌrsgaard Mylin heads up the practice; his recent work includes representing several Danish banks in Hans Probst Properties' bankruptcy proceedings, and acting for Jyske Bank in bankruptcy proceedings relating to the collapse of its debtor, AB KÌrskifte.

Andersen Partners' practice is highly skilled in corporate reconstructions, insolvency proceedings and debt restructurings. Jan Bruun Jørgensen leads the team and has experience in the creditor and debtor sides of restructurings and bankruptcies. Rikke Licht Bøtcher and Anders Hvidberg Plum are also key names to note. Leaneco, Rool Steel and Erwins Autoruder are key clients.

Bruun & Hjejle has 'exceptional partner availability, knowledge and engagement', and counts Danske Bank and Realkredit Danmark as clients. Henrik Selchau Poulsen leads the team and handled the respective bankruptcies of Hesalight and Bios Ambulance Service.

DLA Piper Denmark's merger with Delacourt has strengthened its restructuring team, with insolvency specialist Per Buttenschøn being a key addition. Henrik Sjørslev and Jan Bech are also noteworthy and assisted construction company E Pihl & Søn with its bankruptcy proceedings.

Lund Elmer Sandager's skillet encompasses insolvencies, restructurings, creditor arrangements and disputes. Christian B Elmer leads the practice and is experienced in bankruptcies, liquidations and compulsory dissolutions. Other notable names from the team include Jørgen B Elmer, Nete Weber and Torsten Vagn Hansen.

Mazanti-Andersen Korsø Jensen's insolvency team has 'a high degree of professionalism' and is 'always extremely well prepared'. Team co-head Peter Wedel Ranch Krarup is 'pragmatic' and 'constructive' in his approach to insolvency and restructuring proceedings; and fellow practice head Henrik B Sanders handles insolvency matters, primarily on the creditors side.

Elmann's expertise includes debt recovery issues, disputes and arbitrations. Finn Lynge Jepsen jointly leads the team; he advised Areal Bank as liquidator on the bankruptcy of vacation rental business Vacasol, and also acted for Griffin Finans in its bankruptcy proceedings. Christian Tornvig Jensen is also a noteworthy practitioner.

Lundgrens covers the full spectrum of insolvency work for clients including Sydbank, Jyske Bank and Lollands Bank. Kristian Gustav Andersson heads up the practice and recently assisted Danske Bank as creditor of a bankrupt machinery manufacturer in the agricultural and forestry sector; he also acted for the client on the bankruptcy of Stones Consult. Director Lars Krog is skilled in the transactional and contentious aspects of insolvencies.

Moalem Weitemeyer Bendtsen's team is highly skilled in restructuring and insolvency proceedings. Department head Thomas Weitemeyer recently acted for Nomeco in bankruptcy proceedings, and represented Sydbank in a dispute against a former owner relating to debt repayments. Danske Bank and Nordea Bank Danmark are also clients.

NJORD Law Firm's expertise covers cross-border and domestic insolvencies and restructurings, and group co-head Malene Eigtved acts for financial creditors and distressed companies in insolvency proceedings. Team co-head Jørgen Erik Frandsen is also a key name for insolvency work.

Skau Reipurth & Partnere fields 'a very strong team', which has 'a commercial and practical approach' and is 'good at solving difficult cases without unnecessary conflict'. Recent highlights for team co-head Anders Hoffmann include assisting Danske Bank as trustee with the bankruptcy of Gravity4, and advising Arbejdernes Landsbank on its mandatory sale of properties owned by housing cooperatives. Other work includes fellow practice head Anders Ørskov Melballe acting for Trøjgaard Mßller on its bankruptcy, and assisting Jyske Bank as trustee with the bankruptcy of Barbara I Gongini.
