Dawn has considerable knowledge and experience in asset based lending and insolvency and approaches her work from the same commercial standpoint as her clients, frequently highlighting practical implications that go way beyond the legal aspects of the matter.

Dawn has a special interest in refinancing and restructuring matters, advising on a wide range of insolvency related assignments or assisting and advising directors of distressed companies. She is driven by the buzz of seeing an insolvent company rescued and helping all her clients grow and achieve their objectives.

Dawn is the PDT Money Laundering Reporting Officer, IT Partner and assists on the PDT trainee and work experience scheme developing future lawyers.

Praised for her ‘attention to detail‘, Joanna Ford leads the team, often acting in claims of misfeasance and wrongful trading against directors, in addition to assisting companies in financial difficulty. With ‘considerable experience and knowledge‘, John Kirkwood focuses on the corporate elements of the insolvency process, and has a great deal of knowledge surrounding the selling and acquisition of insolvent businesses, while senior associate Hannah Proctor primarily focuses on contentious insolvency matters, often appearing before the High Court. In early 2024, the firm merged with Horsham-based firm PDT Solicitors, which added the expertise of William Angas, Dawn Shadwell, Ian Lindley and Craig Burton.

Craig Bowers heads up the practice with his broad experience in acting for borrowers, while Julie Hughes predominantly handles acquisition financing matters for borrowers in the real estate sector. Victoria Symons is particularly experienced in advising family offices and high-net-worth individuals on collective investment schemes, asset backed lending work, and collective investment schemes. The highly experienced Nicholas Fisher joined the team in April 2022.
