Mr. Arbeleche and Mr. Vedoya, are in charge of the Mining and Environmental areas of practice at the law Firm and coordinates our legal platform for Climate Action and Sustainable Businesses.

He advises and counsels local and foreign companies on mining, environmental and hydrocarbon aspects, including issues related to contract law, administrative law, public international law and constitutional law in that regard. He has advised both mining projects and operating mines. He has participated in several acquisitions, negotiations, and assignments of rights and mining properties, including due diligence and title assessment, draft and analysis of contracts, preparation of Feasibility Studies, permit proceedings and formalities, and follow-up thereof, defense of vested rights and promotional systems, among others. He has also actively participated in and collaborated with the design and preparation of promotional and environmental rules and regulations, both at federal and provincial level. Furthermore, he has served as environmental auditor and has participated in investigations in the compliance department of certain mining companies. He has vast experience in providing advice and counsel for bi-national projects between Argentina and Chile, in connection with both mining and traffic and road aspects.

Since 1998, Mr. Arbeleche and Sebastián P. Vedoya have become key members forming part of the natural resources and environmental departments at prestigious law firms that specialize in such areas of practice. In 2002, he was retained as legal advisor under the United Nations Program (PNUD), for mining development purposes, of the federal mining authority and the Management Commission of the Treaty for Mining Integration and Complementation between Chile and Argentina. He further participated actively in the design of promotional tools for mining activity for approximately a year.

In 2013, he worked as coordinator of the Legal Affairs Committee of Cámara Argentina de Empresarios Mineros (CAEM), and in 2014, he was appointed Editorial Secretary of Revista Argentina de Derecho de la Energia, Hidrocarburos y Mineria (RADEHM).

Mr. Arbeleche graduated from the School of Law at Universidad Católica Argentina in 1998. In 1997, he obtained a Pre-Master of Corporate Law at Universidad Austral. He also completed a Postgraduate Specialization Course in Oil & Gas at Universidad de Buenos Aires (2011), an International LL.M. Program on US Law and International Business Law, graduating cum laude, at Suffolk University (2013), an Environmental Postgraduate Course at Universidad Católica Argentina (2016-2017) and an International Certification in Ethics and Compliance at Universidad del CEMA (2018).

He has been a university professor of Natural Resources and Environment at UMSA for almost seven years. Since 2013, he has been head lecturer of the “Master of Mining Business Management” course at Universidad Católica de Cuyo. He is also a post-graduate professor of Environmental Law at the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA).
