Position

Priscilla Santos is a partner in the Banking & Finance practice of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in the São Paulo office.

Career

She has a wide-ranging expertise in banking, corporate and commercial laws. Priscilla represents financial institutions, multilateral organizations, equity sponsors, private equity houses and corporate clients on cross-border financing transactions, banking regulatory and related matters, including trade finance, project finance, corporate finance, acquisition financings, fund financing and out-of-court debt restructurings.

Priscilla is also a member of the Latin American Group, having extensive experience on cross-border Latin America financing transactions acting especially for financial institutions in syndicated finance deals.

Priscilla has also a particular and deep expertise on deals involving fintechs (payment institutions, credit cards, payment arrangements, etc.), investment funds sponsored by financial institutions, banking regulatory and foreign exchange regulations. She has advised foreign financial institutions and similar entities to establish subsidiaries or acquire regulated entities in Brazil and is the focal point in relation to all deals and issues involving fintechs, regulated activities and foreign investments in Brazil.

Before joining Mayer Brown in 2011, Priscilla worked at Lefosse Advogados in cooperation with Linklaters LLP. She was also an associate with Linklaters LLP London (2010). In 2006 she was an associate with Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga Advogados. From 2003 to 2005 she was a trainee with Levy & Salomão Advogados becoming an associate in 2006.
