Career

Nicole Jaureguiberry joined our Law Firm in 2018.

She was the Legal Director at the National Park Service – National Ministry of Environment in Argentina (2016-2018).

Previously, she worked at Cassagne Abogados Law Firm (2012-2016), Tanoira Cassagne Law Firm (2011-2012), and did an internship at the United States Embassy in Argentina (2009).

She participated in several national and international conferences and seminars related to Administrative and Regulatory Law, and Conservation and Regulation of Natural Protected Areas.

She is the author of several papers about her expertise area, and was a lecturer of “Legal writing and investigation” and offered some graduate classes of Constitutional Law at the Universidad Católica Argentina.

Education

She graduated from Universidad Católica Argentina in 2011. In 2010, she studied at Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University (Lyon, France) and was awarded with the “Diplôme d’Etudes Universitaires Francaises” (DEUF) –french certificate for graduate studies in France-.

She conducted post-graduate studies in Economic Administrative Law (2013-2015) and Institutions of Administrative Law (2012), both in the Universidad Católica Argentina.

In 2019 she completed a postgraduate program in Specialized Constitutional Law, and in 2021 she graduated from the program “Regulatory aspects of the Mining Industry”, in the the Universidad Austral.

The team is particularly sought out for its expertise in regulatory and supply contract matters in the pharma, medical and biotech sectors, as well as the heavily regulated financial services industry, and has developed a niche NGO practice too. Promoted to the partnership in 2022, Nicole Jaureguiberry leads the practice, with key support coming from associate Luciana Casagrande. The practice has been particularly active in the unconventional hydrocarbons segment (supporting the drafting of legislation to unlock the Vaca Muerta shale play), and has also advised on transnational pipeline and LNG terminal matters, along with federal and state energy regulatory work. Veteran oil-and-gas practitioner Francisco Romano draws on more than two-decades of industry experience, including a spell in-house with oil major Chevron. He co-leads the the team with senior partner and cross-border transactional and financing expert Alan Arntsen, who has a strong energy and infrastructure track record.
