Career

Márcio Pereira is partner of BMA’s Environmental and Climate Change practice area. His practice focuses on regulation of economic use of natural resources and sustainability issues.

Márcio has acquired experience in various economic sectors over the years he has practiced business law, both as a litigator and in advisory work. He has worked in projects involving electric energy projects, oil and gas, infrastructure, transportation, mining, steelmaking, manufacturing, telecommunications, basic sanitation, management of water resources, agribusiness, forestry, civil construction, real estate, environmental services, forest management, climate change and the green economy. He also spent some time at Vale S.A., where he took part in an international program in partnership with the law firm Reed Smith LLP.
Márcio has also taken part in discussions over environmental regulation, and has helped draft various environmental rules and regulations, representing specific sectors of the economy.  in Environmental Law and Environmental Litigation and has spoken at various events and has published a number of articles in newspapers, magazines, books and specialized periodicals.
