Jen Vern’s main areas of practice are fund raising, capital markets transactions (including initial and secondary public offerings, private placements, rights issues, REITs and business trusts) and general corporate law.

Work Highlights

Significant transactions that Jen Vern has been involved in include acting for / advising in respect of the following:

• CapitaLand Investment Limited in its listing by introduction on the Singapore Exchange, which had a market capitalisation of approximately S$15.3 billion on its first day of trading.
• Keppel REIT in the S$651.5 million acquisition of Keppel Bay Tower and its private placement which raised S$270 million.
• Elite Commercial REIT, the first initial public offering and listing of a REIT on the Singapore Exchange to be focused on the United Kingdom and denominated in pound sterling.
• Lendlease Global Commercial REIT in its initial public offering on the Singapore Exchange, which raised S$1.03 billion.
• ESR-REIT in its private placement and preferential offering exercises which raised an aggregate of S$292 million.
• Mapletree Logistics Trust in the acquisition of 11 properties in China for S$214 million and its private placement which raised S$220 million.
