Personal

Sandra E. Osinachi-Nwandem is a veteran legal practitioner with the Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) practice group of the law firm of Tope Adebayo LP. She is a certified energy law expert with an in-depth knowledge acting for and advising clients on legal issues about energy and environmental laws, policies, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and multiplex energy transactions. She has significant experience advising multinational oil and gas companies on their roles and responsibilities to host communities in line with the relevant petroleum legislation.

She is a regular contributor to energy and environmental law platforms. Her publications on legal issues affecting the petroleum industry in Nigeria offer practical guidance to players in the industry. Asides being a regular contributor to the Nigerian Bar Association-Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) Newsletters, her articles have been featured in some of the most widely read law journals in Africa: Her article, “Regulatory Framework Governing Gas Operations and Utilization in the Nigerian Petroleum Industry” co-authored with the renowned Professor of Energy Law, Prof. S.C Dike, was recently published in the African Journal of International Energy and Environmental Law (AJIEEL), Volume 7, No. 1 (2023). Her article, “Legal Framework for the Development of Marginal Fields in Nigeria: A cursory Look at the Petroleum Act (PIA) 2021” was also published in the Journal of Environmental and Human Right Law, Volume 3, No. 1 (2023).

Sandra is one of the contributors selected across Africa by the International Association of Energy Economics (IAEE) to co-author the book titled “Energy Transition and Climate Change Policy: Pathway for Sustainable Development in Africa” edited by Professors; Yinka Omorogbe, Wunmi Iledare & Adeola Adenikinju.
