Career

Camilo’s practice focuses on commercial arbitration, civil and commercial litigation, and reorganization and bankruptcy practice in complex and high-value cases. He heads our Monterrey Dispute Resolution (Litigation, Arbitration, Reorganization) practice and is a well-known and respected lawyer with significant experience, who works closely with our Dispute Resolutions attorneys in our Mexico City office. Camilo has significant experience in domestic and international arbitration proceedings (the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and National Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City (CANACO)).

He is a former chair of the Committee of Commercial Law of the Mexican Bar Association Chapter Nuevo Leon, and is currently Vice President of the Arbitration Commission of the ICC Chapter Nuevo Leon.

Camilo received his law degree in 1999 from Centro Universitario México, Div. Estudios Superiores (Universidad Marista), and a master in Amparo, Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL). Camilo’s academic achievements also include: Advance courses in North American Law (Georgetown University Law Center- Universidad Iberoamericana), Contracts, (Universidad Iberoamericana) and International Commercial Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM). He also participated in the Seminar on Business Reorganizations, Instituto Federal de Especialistas de Concursos Mercantiles (IFECOM).
