Position

Elvire Tardivon-Lorizon is a partner in charge of the VAT / indirect taxes / international trade / local tax department. She joined Grant Thornton Société d’Avocats in 2011.

She advises large (listed and non-listed) and medium sized national and international groups performing cross-border inbound and outbound transactions on their overall indirect tax issues (such as VAT, customs duties, payroll tax, C3S, insurance premium tax, environmental taxes, energy taxes etc.). She assists them in their ordinary and non-recurrent activities. Elvire also helps companies to optimise their flows of goods and services from an indirect tax standpoint and to improve their cash flow.

Elvire handles tax audits and is involved in negotiations with the French tax administration. She also manages tax litigation and files on a regular basis ruling requests with the French tax administration.

Career

After time with EY, Taj and Mazars where she became a Partner, Elvire joined Grant Thornton Société d’Avocats in 2011 as the Head of Indirect Tax.

Elvire teaches tax law at the Sorbonne University and Cergy-Pontoise University, and also publishes widely on indirect tax and local taxes matters.

Education

She obtained a DESS in Business and Tax and a DEA in Public Law from Panthéon-Sorbonne. She studied at EFB in law. She is a graduate of HEC Paris in Corporate Finance.
