Position

Stephen Forster is the Head of the Abu Dhabi Office. He works primarily in the fields of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and projects.

Career

Stephen joined the firm as Head of the Abu Dhabi office. He was previously a partner in the largest law firm in Gibraltar and before that a partner for over 15 years in one of the major City of London law firms and has over 25 years' experience of practising business law in various parts of the world including the UK, Central Europe and the Far East. He works primarily in the fields of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and projects. Stephen has been involved in and helped to negotiate share and business acquisitions and disposals, privatisations, joint ventures, inward investments and company and group structurings in numerous countries including the UK, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Finland, Norway and Holland. He was one of the lead partners acting for one of the successful bidders on the London Underground PPP, probably the most complex Public Private Partnership in Europe to date, and led the team advising on one of the first independent power projects in Central Europe using project financing. He also led the legal team advising a consortium bidding to construct the M6 motorway in Hungry by way of PPP.

M.A. Hons (Cantab) Downing College, Cambridge. Admitted as a Solicitor in England & Wales - 1979. Admitted as a Solicitor in Hong Kong - 1989. Admitted as a lawyer in Gibraltar - 2009.
