Career

Francesco Piron provides legal advice in regulatory (ARERA), administrative, and antitrust law to various multi-utilities (private and public) active in the energy, water and waste markets. He also provides legal assistance before the higher administrative courts on disputes related to regulatory issues. With particular reference to the energy sector, after a professional experience at the Authority for Electricity and Gas (Legislative and Legal Direction), as a specialist practioner he has provided legal assistance in regulatory law related to the electricity, natural gas, district heating and energy efficiency sectors in favour of several companies active in the electricity and gas sectors as well as numerous Public Administrations. Francesco is the author of two monographs on energy regulatory law and on competition law applied to the energy sector. He is also the author of more than 150 articles in Quotidiano Energia (an online magazine with which he has been collaborating on a regular basis since 2006, personally editing the column “Normativa di settore – Approfondimenti giuridici”) as well as being the author of several publications on the sector in specialised magazines. On e-mobility he has assisted various CPO’s before ARERA (regulatory and tariff aspects).
