As a defence lawyer and a criminal law expert qualified as a university lecturer, Oliver Plöckinger covers all areas of consulting with regard to criminal law. His range of responsibilities extends from criminal law prevention (compliance) and the advising primarily of companies in cases of confrontation with charges relating to the company or individual employees and relevant under criminal law, to the classical task of defending in court.
Oliver Plöckinger advises on all matters relating to commercial criminal law. His main activities also include copyright and trademark criminal law as well as media criminal law.

Oliver Plöckinger has acquired his criminal law expertise not only through representation in major criminal law proceedings but predominantly also through highly extensive publication, teaching and lecturing activities. Oliver Plöckinger has, for example, regularly lectured for many years at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, at Kufstein University of Applied Sciences and at the Academy of Accountants (“Akademie der Wirtschaftstreuhänder”) on commercial criminal law and on copyright and trademark criminal law.

Career

Oliver Plöckinger has worked as a lawyer for SAXINGER since 2009 and as  partner since 2012. He also spent his traineeship as an associate at SCWP, between 2006 and 2009.

During his law degree course between 1991 and 1996, Oliver Plöckinger had already started his research career at Johannes Kepler University in Linz at the Institute for Criminal Law, Criminal Law Proceedings and Criminology.

Oliver Plöckinger has succeeded in securing a place on the shortlist following his recent application for the professorship of white collar criminal law and compliance at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz.

During his work at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Oliver Plöckinger had two scholarship stays, each lasting several months, at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition Law and Fiscal Law in Munich.
