Career

His practice has always been focused on labour law. He has vast experience in all its areas.

He actively intervenes in several kinds of transactions and proceedings, particularly those related to the termination of agreements, disciplinary proceedings, individual and collective dismissals.

He is also active in labor litigation, acting as legal counsel for several clients.

Acting on behalf of domestic and foreign clients, he has actively participated in several legal due diligence and restructuring processes, advising on the acquisition and sale of companies and business areas.

From 2001 to 2004 José Amorim was at Saraiva Lima e Associados – Sociedade de Advogados – and from 2004 to 2019 at Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho, where he coordinated Porto’s Labor Team for a decade.
