Maria co-heads the firm’s Projects and Construction practice, a multi-disciplinary group of experienced lawyers within the fields of project finance, construction, real estate, environment, procurement, state aid, tax and structuring, M&A and dispute resolution. She also has an active role in our Energy and Infrastructure practice.
Maria specialises in complex projects particularly within the energy, infrastructure and commodities sectors, advising a wide range of actors in relation to e.g. the construction and operation of power plants and industrial facilities, the procurement of large industrial equipment and machinery, as well as the supply of commodities. Maria has extensive experience of project financed transactions.
Maria joined Hannes Snellman in 2017 from another leading Finnish law firm. She holds an LL.M. from University College London and worked on projects in the energy and commodities sectors at Clyde & Co LLP in London from 2006 to 2010.
