The practice recently advised a syndicate of international banks on the financing of Mehiläinen's acquisition by CVC and other investors; OP Financial Group and Morgan Stanley are also clients. Tero Tuomisto¬†leads the practice at¬†Castr√©n & Snellman; he recently¬†advised Pihlajalinna on a five year¬†‚ā¨120m unsecured financing arrangement and acted for Nordea Bank on the financing of Apax Digital Fund's acquisition of Solita. Managing partner¬†Sakari Lukinmaa¬†also assisted OP Corporate Bank with its¬†‚ā¨200m refinancing of Kolsin Voima. Hannes Snellman, which¬†'takes care of legal matters in a professional, careful and diplomatic way',¬†recently advised Goldman Sachs International on the mezzanine financing of Blackstone's ‚ā¨3.9bn¬†acquisition of Sponda and assisted EQT Partners UK Advisors with the financing of Keensight Capital's investment in Biovian. Other clients include Nordea Bank, Finavia and Lemmink√§inen. The practice is led by¬†Markus Bremer,¬†and Henrik Mattson¬†heads up the team across Finland and Sweden.

Krogerus' recent work includes advising¬†HSH Nordbank¬†on the ‚ā¨131m financing of the Haapaj√§rvi and Ratiper√§ wind farms, and acting for Niam on the refinancing of its Helsinki office real estate portfolio.¬†P√§ivi Toivari¬†leads the department, which acts for clients including Landesbank Hessen Th√ľringen Girozentrale, Nordea Bank and Swedbank. Other key clients include Danske Bank, Carnegie Investment Bank, and Nordea Bank.

Sari Wallgren¬†and¬†Selinda N√§se¬†jointly lead the practice at¬†Avance Attorneys Ltd; Wallgren advises banks and borrowers, and N√§se focuses on domestic and cross-border financing transactions. Recent highlights include assisting¬†Keskisuomalainen with the refinancing of its bank facilities and acting for Mercator Capital on a ‚ā¨31m secured financing arrangement.

Dittmar & Indrenius' recent work includes acting for Pandion Mine Finance on the financing of Firesteel Resources' acquisition of Nordic Mines via a prepaid forward gold purchase agreement. Other clients include Société Générale and Allianz Capital Partners. Juha-Pekka Mutanen jointly leads the 'responsive' practice with Hanna-Mari Manninen; Kari Lautjärvi is also a key name to note.

At Eversheds Asianajotoimisto Oy / Eversheds Attorneys Ltd (a member of Eversheds Sutherland), the 'highly skilled and experienced' Merja Blankenstein is 'good to work with' and heads the practice, which is noted for its ability to 'respond quickly and professionally'. The team recently advised fintech company Surimo Finance on the regulatory and contracting aspects of its establishment in Finland, and assisted Digitalist Group with the structuring of its financing including a new credit limit arrangement and security arrangement.

Project finance expert¬†Bj√∂rn Nykvist¬†leads the practice at¬†HPP Attorneys, which advised Terraframe on a ‚ā¨200m phase II funding arrangement for the expansion of its nickel and base metals mine, and acted for Ferrovan on a ‚ā¨9.7m financing round relating to a vanadium plant. Clients also single out counsel¬†Antti Rintakoski¬†for his 'reliability and experience in financing work'.

Tommi Elo¬†heads up the practice at Merilampi Attorneys Ltd, which advised Suominen on its entry into a syndicated credit facility arrangement consisting of a ‚ā¨100m revolving credit facility and a ‚ā¨85m unsecured fixed-interest bond. Other clients include Citibank, Nordea Bank, and Aberdeen Property Funds.

At Bird & Bird, the group handles the full spectrum of finance work and recently advised private equity company NREP on the financing of its funds, which invest in logistics, housing and retail real estate. Kristiina Lehvilä leads the department and Jori Taipale is another name to note.

Kirsti Myllylä and Ismo Hentula jointly lead the group at Procopé & Hornborg, which is experienced in project financing matters, particularly in the energy sector. The team also has a substantial acquisition financing practice, which works closely with the firm's M&A department.
