中国人工知能サミットフォーラム並びに中国人工知能大会成果発表会2020が23日、福建省の厦門（アモイ）で開催された。中国工業・情報化部（省）の劉烈宏副部長はフォーラムで、「中国は今年11月現在、5G基地局を累計71万8000ヶ所設置した。人工知能（AI）の大量のデータ増加と伝送に堅固な支えを提供している」と述べた。
第14次五カ年計画と2035年長期目標・提案は、インターネット、ビッグデータ、 AIと各産業の深い融合を促進し、先進製造業の集積発展を促進すると明確に打ち出している。
劉氏は、「AIは5G、インダストリアルインターネットと融合しつつ発展している。中国のAIコア産業規模は現在1000億元（1元は約15.9円）を超え、企業数は2600社以上で、産業が持続的に成長している。全国のデータセンターで使用中のラックの総規模は現在400万台近くで、過去5年間近くの平均増加率は30％以上。大型以上のデータセンターは250カ所以上で、産業のデジタル化モデル転換、スマート化高度化にしっかりしたデータの基礎を提供している」と述べた。
