Xavier Rosales is a partner at CorralRosales. He has over 25 years’ experience representing local and international clients in banking and finance, competition, corporate, government procurement, intellectual property and mergers & acquisitions matters. Xavier leads the competition, corporate, and M&A areas. He advises clients across various industries, especially aviation, distribution and services, energy and natural resources, food and beverage, infrastructure and construction, insurance, pharma, and retail. 
 
In the corporate and M&A areas, Xavier advises national and international clients in relation to complex projects. His business-oriented legal advice along with his specific knowledge of the industry and economic understanding have been key to offering sophisticated and personalized solutions to his clients. Clients recognize his ability to develop strategies for complex cases. 
 
In the competition area, Xavier represents companies in merger authorization procedures. In addition, he defends clients against investigations into anti-competitive behavior, and advises on due diligence. Xavier has participated in many of the leading competition cases in Ecuador and clients appreciate the fact that he is highly respected by the relevant competition authority. Xavier also advises on competition issues at a regional level. 
 
In the area of ​​public procurement, Xavier advises national and international clients on the pre-contractual, negotiation and execution stages of public contracts, particularly in relation to special hiring processes, public-private partnerships, concessions and infrastructure projects. Additionally, he advises national and foreign clients on auditing processes and special examination by the Ecuadorian control bodies.
