Position

Alex is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault’s Litigation Group and the National Class Actions Group.

Alex’s practice focuses on complex commercial disputes and class action defence. She is experienced in litigating contractual claims, partnership and shareholder disputes, fraud and breach of trust claims, real estate disputes, consumer protection claims, and defamation claims. She represents clients from a broad array of industries, such as financial services, consumer and retail, technology and manufacturing.

Alex is also a member of the firm’s Government Law and Political Risk Group, and regularly provides advice to businesses on legal obligations in the political sector, including compliance with lobbying laws and conflicts of interest.

Alex has appeared before all levels of Court and acts as for clients in international and domestic commercial arbitrations.

She previously acted as the Co-Chair of the Class Actions subsection of the Canadian Bar Association of the BC Branch and a board member of the Vancouver Bar Association.
